Jim is a native of Minnesota, was raised Lutheran and has served numerous Lutheran, Presbyterian and Methodists congregations. He has a Masters in Business Administration and is currently writing a book about the Vibrant Faith Ministries’coaching process.
Jim is married to Gina, who is teaches sixth grade language arts. They have two boys, Brett (13) and Kenton (8), who bring joy and delight to their lives.
Jim loves to read books on faith formation, congregational vitality and effective leadership practices in addition to novels by Vince Flynn and John Grisham. He enjoys sightseeing in New York City and Washington DC, hiking along Lake Superior, kayaking local lakes and rivers and playing frisbee golf with his kids.
A fan of multi-media, Jim enjoys learning how to make memorable iMovies, educational podcasts and family photo albums. While camping, Jim and his family can often be found playing Mexican Train, Bananagrams, Apples to Apples and Sequences while asking each other faith-related questions found on his phone using the VFM’s FaithTalk App.
